Your spices and herbs should be stored in a cool and dark area. The flavor of the spices and herbs will decrease if they are kept in areas with light, humidity, and heat. Herbs and spices generally keep their taste and flavor for about one year. It is possible for whole spices to hold their flavor for several years. Spices that are stored correctly remain fresher for longer.
Anytime you use meat for a stir-fry, make sure to slice the meat as thinly as you can and make your cut on the bias. This can sometimes be a tricky undertaking and very time-consuming. Once the meat has become more firm, you should slice against the grain at 45 degrees.
Spices should be kept somewhere cool and dark. Storing them out exposes them to light, excessive heat and humidity, which can reduce their shelf life. If you store your spices in dark place with relatively low temperatures like a pantry, the spices will retain their taste and take longer to spoil. If you use fresh spices, your food will taste better.
Do not assume this ingredient is for meat only. You can use your favorite spices and seasonings to enhance the naturally delicious flavor of scrambled eggs and roasted pumpkin seeds. You can cultivate a reputation as a mysterious wizard of flavor just by using a judicious dash of such seasonings.
