Are you a person who loves all kinds of different foods? Is your craving for sweets overwhelming? What about ethnic foods? Have you ever wished you could cook exotic dishes? Well, now you can stop dreaming and start cooking! You can follow the advice in this article to educate yourself on the art of cooking.
Partially frozen meat is easier to cut into thin strips. This is ideal for Asian meals like Chinese or Thai dishes. Freezing the meat prior to slicing immobilizes the fibers and makes for cleaner, more efficient slices. Having said that, you must be certain to let the meat strips thaw out prior to cooking them to ensure even cooking.
Boiling and other long preparation methods tend to eliminate key nutrients in vegetables. For the most nutritious vegetables, employ fast cooking methods or, better yet, consume raw veggies.
Do you regularly cook with freshly grown basil? Keep a fresh-cut bunch of basil inside a glass. Fill the glass with water till the stems are covered. Basil will stay fresh in bowl of water for up to four weeks. Change the water regularly and roots will grow. Trim your basil plants once in awhile to promote more growth, and enjoy your fresh basil for quite a long time.
This seasoning can also be utilized on various other ingredients. Try roasted pumpkin seeds sprinkled with the seasoning for a tasty snack or mix it in your scrambled eggs. It is a simple addition, but the burst of flavor it gives will have everyone raving.
